Doug Lawton of rural Jefferson won$100 in Greene County Chamber Bucks for visiting the buildings on the Empty Building Tour. The tour of six available buildings was held on April 16 & 18 in downtown Jefferson. Thirty people filled out the cards for the drawing but organizers reported over 70 people visiting the various sites. A packet of info on those buildings was available to all and is still available to those interested at the Jefferson Matters: Main Street Office at 110 West Lincoln Way. Doug said he thought the tour was excellent and felt it was very beneficial for those who took the tour.
