Crowd learns about Advanced Facebook Tips

GO BACK

A large group of 35 people attended the Advanced Facebook for Business workshop hosted by Jefferson Matters: Main Street’s Economic Vitality Team.  The workshop took place at The Forge Fellowship Hall and was facilitated by Darcy Swon with the Small Business Development Center out of Fort Dodge.  Darcy is a marketing consultant and well-versed in how to use Facebook for small businesses. She provided a power-point full of tips and ideas.  Businesses from Jefferson and the surrounding area attended as well as organizations.

Darcy Swon shared, “As you know, our services are free and confidential and range from assisting at the “I have an idea” stage all the way up to succession planning. If you know anyone looking for assistance in any area of their business, we’d love to help. Send them our way! In addition, if you know anyone that is wanting one-on-one training regarding last night’s material or are interested in a website and/or social media assessment, please have them Request for Counseling off our website (iowasbdc.org). Be sure they include what they are seeking assistance with so I can then reach out to you and set up an appointment.”

The Economic Vitality Team would like input on further topics that could be presented.  Ideas were Canva, MailChimp, Human Relations for small businesses, and Financials. Please contact Bonnie Silbaugh, Nick Sorensen or Director Peg Raney at director@jeffersonmatters.org with suggestions.
