The Design Team offers two mini-grants for buildings in Jefferson.
The Building Facade Mini-grant application is for paint, tuck-pointing, replacement of windows & doors and removal of non-conforming elements of a building. The maximum request is for $500 per building. A simple application is needed prior to the project to be approved by the Design committee. A list of design guidelines accompanies the mini-grant application with recommendations for improvements in the District. Once the façade project approval is received the grant funds are available on a reimbursement basis with receipts needed. Before and after photos are required. This will not fund labor costs. Volunteers are willing to help in whatever capacity they can.
Building Facade Mini-Grant Application 2021
The Storefront Signage Mini-grant is a 50/50 match for new signage – both wall mount and projecting signage on the exterior of a Jefferson building. A simple application is needed with a plan for the signage attached. There are a number of resources available for building owners on appropriate types of signage through the Main Street/Chamber program. Once the design is approved by the Design committee, this grant is reimbursed with a receipt.
