Pillar Planters & Cluster Planters

The Design committee picked a beautiful day to plant the 12 Pillar Planters and 8 new Cluster Planters located around the downtown square.  Karen Lawton, Kathy Milligan and Bonnie Silbaugh work together to get the flowers ready and invite volunteers to help.

This year this beautification effort has expanded to streets beyond the Square.  These Cluster Planters were idea of Mike Palmer who worked with Design Committee members Ann Ober and Deb Kucerak to choose a design the continued to enhance the look of the downtown.  They felt the black iron planters created by Shane Olson of Olson IronWorks in Churdan continued the look of the lampposts, pillar planters, Thomas Jefferson Gardens, and Bell Tower Plaza furniture.  The City was pleased to work with the local company to specially make the sizes that fit in clusters of three.

There are 8 sets of the Cluster Planters.  The Design committee members thank the City Crew for installing these new planters and will water these along with the Pillar Planters and hanging baskets to provide this welcoming look for residents and visitors.  They are located near the Greene County Historical Museum, Motor Parts, RVP~1875, Jefferson Telecom, Twiins Shoppe, Peoples Bank, Jefferson Family Chiropractic and Sierra Theatre.  Funding for this project is through the City of Jefferson’s beautification efforts using Grow Greene County funds.
