Jefferson was awarded one of six Main Street communities to host the travelling Smithsonian exhibit called Hometown Teams from August 11 – September 23, 2018. This exhibit will be located for the six weeks at the Greene County Historical Museum. Residents and visitors will have an opportunity to experience a real Smithsonian exhibit on a topic dear to many. Students will be able to participate in activities and explore our love of sports in our hometowns.
Residents and organizations from around Greene County attended an informational pep rally on Monday, July 24 at 7 pm at the Historical Museum. The agenda included a short video of the exhibit, a power point presentation of other exhibits, brainstorming ideas for local exhibits, events and activities during or leading up to the exhibit, and people selecting areas they would like to be involved in as we take on this large county-wide project. See below for links to these presentations.
We will continue to update this page as more info becomes available.
